I'm a little confused but sounds intriguing

well a more detailed view, this example

1. Drafts any players starting with A. If already drafted an A can use a "Letter Pass" to go to B. If they haven't already drafted an A, and want to draft a B, the can use one of their 2 "Free Passes". Otherwise they draft any A player.

If there is a player left at the letter you must draft at, and you can't pass it, too bad. For instance, say C Young (SP) is the last Y left, and your turn is there and Y is up, you don't have a Y (can't letter pass) and you have no more free passes, then you are stuck with him. So be sure to plan ahead, or else your draft card can get yucky!

sounds like fun start her up if there are no players at all left at a letter than obviously you automatically skip to the next letter right?

correct,

I think in 05 we did this and I messed up my cap space at the end when I got stuck with a 'J' I couldn't afford. I beleive the punishement is dropping your highest priced player and replacing it with a cheaper player from the same letter. If there are no players left of that letter, go to the 2nd most expensive.

you could do the same draft but instead of letters use teams going alphabetically I guess Kansas City is the "x" factor
