after a month or so, it appears that "home field advantage" is the key for most general managers, by a wide margin...
Building a team based on pitching or hitting (which was really the point of the question) were tied for second along with "drinking heavily before drafting"...
I'm rather surprised that "drinking" did so well...I would have thought amphetamines or crack would be the more popular choice...is it beer you guys utilize, or something stronger?...scotch?...tequila?...what kind of beer?...and what's your preferred alcohol content? (.10?) (.20?)...
I'll try drinking seriously before my next draft...maybe it'll be an all-drinking team (Ruth, Mantle, Lolich, Jim Ray Hart, etc.)...
which leads us to another thread...who are the great drinkers in baseball history?...who are today's hall-of-fame boozers?...
