The site is still down, it must be inactive. I remember when SOM had a free demo on their home page but I was only into C&D and never tried it. I wish they would put a demo up again with ver 10.1 as I am tempted to try the computer game

i agree... i like the online version... but after the draft, waivers, and a week or two of the games ... it becomes stale..........

and i miss "rolling the dice"

I had the trial version on my old computer, but don't on this one (since I have the CD-ROM v.10 set). If you can't find a trial version, I say go ahead and pony up the $50 or so it takes to get the CD (you may also want to spend extra for colored stadiums). It actually has everything you need on it to upgrade, although to use anything other than the 2005 card set you will need to purchase authorization codes (usually about $20). However, there's no limitation on 2005, and -- judging from what you have already written -- I'm sure you'll be satisfied.

It wouldn't work, gored, because in order to activate Strat you need authorization codes ... and they only work once. I don't know any other place than SOM where you can buy the game, although you might check Amazon or other popular shopping sites.
