No hitters and the 6th. inning...

Postby BRIANSIELSKI » Wed Jan 31, 2007 4:23 pm

Same here about the 6th Inning ... Last week, it happened to me twice.

But it is a function of the Game Story. It only kicks in at the 6th inning, so the write up says "Player XYZ had a no-hitter broken up in the 6th Inning...."

The Game Story is not programmed to kick in during the 3, 4, or 5th Inning .... to say "Player XYZ had a no-hitter broken up in the 4th Inning...."

As for the 7-9 innings .... I've seen it ... but I have also seen it NOT REPORTED....

Hal always doesn't report what may be obvious ... sort of like why he makes Juan Pierre pinch run for Mark Texieria in my games. grrrrr.

This is from the write-up after the 3rd game of a 3 game sweep over Bodie in TSN_6022

[quote:90876cfbae]It was the 2nd shutout of the year for Chacon(3-5). The right-handed Chacon had his no-hit bid broken up by Jeff Kent who doubled with one out in the 7th inning. [/quote:90876cfbae]

Visick - thought that you might appreciate this line from one of my ATG games last night ...

Al Demaree carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning at Polo Grounds '34 where
the Montreal Olympians beat the Montreal Overtures 7 to 6.

I'd say 95% of the time, no-hitters end in the 6th. inning...just an observation.
