This team just cannot score runs. I think I have just scored 10 in the past 5 games. I have been unlucky with injuries with Freel out a couple of times already and Castilla missing and Varitek as well. Maybe that is the only reason I have not scored many runs. Maybe not though. If anyone has any help, line up ideas etc then please let me know??

a quick glance at your team and you just don;t have enough boppers to play at Yankee Stadium. Depending on what style the other teams in your league are playing, you have to maximize your home-field. If the others are small ball, you have to crush them with HR hitters because small ball teams pitchers are usually very good-get as much "natural" HR chances as possible so that when you are on the road, SBC Park or Petco won;t rob you of HR's. If others play Coors, you'll be able to matchup better. That being said, i'd leadoff Wilkerson, bat Casey 3rd--you have no cleanup or 5th hitter. Varitek is probably your next best hitter and I would only bat him 6th or 7th. Just my two cents...

OlPerez, Santana, Oswalt, Lilly...4 pitchers you faced--those are quality starters who on any given game can give any offense fits!

Plus, since when is 5 games of any statistical significance? Especially against quality pitching.

But...Have to say I don't like Mohr hitting second with his lack of natural hits. But you really don't have a better choice...I suppose you could put Freel second.

I really think Casey's a nice fit for a relatively neutral park like Yankee stadium, but outside of that I think Castilla and Lamb are not great fits as key parts of your lineup. Wilkerson, Castilla, Lamb, and Mohr can each be fine in the right situation, but all on one team in a neutral park might not work real well. You'll have to be happy with maybe a combined .240 BA out of them if you're lucky.

GL--I'd try to trade a couple of those guys for a couple with a balance of natural hits and a few BP HRs...maybe one geared toward HR power/OBA and one toward pure hits and speed.

Just think your offense lacks balance for the long haul, but be patient and don't start dropping folks.
cheers and Good Luck!
