2007 how do i stop Dave Roberts from stealing 2nd and than get thown out trying to steal third, its happened twice in 9 games and he has been picked off twice. I was on steal "aggressive"...I mean I want him to steal second mostly to stay out of the double play and of course get in scoring position. But i dont need him to steal third base. Need some experience here. I also am not getting "hal?" to hit and run, I have two great hit and run guys set to "hit and run more" and hit and run "aggressive"..Im really interested in these because i seem to be hitting into a lot of double plays.

I'm no expert but I think if you put your steal setting's to normal and have Roberts set to steal more you should get the desired result.

If you have steal set to aggressive and Roberts as "steal more", he's going to go often. I found when using "aggressive", HAL was reasonable with guys not checked to "steal more". If he is not checked to"steal more" and is still going for third, you would have to change to a "normal" setting. As for the H & R, if it's set to "aggressive", it's happening as much as you can get it to, which is probably far too often. You want to get it down to "normal" or lower, with the appropriate guys checked "H & R more". I think once a game would be a lot of attempts for the H & R, even when set to "aggressive", so there are still many opportunities for your team to hit into DP's.
