A few injuries on my squad going into my 2nd. game last night.
Still no excuse to have Navarro lead off the game...

As geekor implied, Navarro is an on-base machine versus lefties.

The old, pre-upgrade code put too much weight on speed when determining your leadoff guy. The new code emphasizes on-base percentage. It was my personal call as a Strat-O-Matic manager to make it so; I assumed most other strategists would agree. I may have placed too [i:b9d9587c39]little[/i:b9d9587c39] emphasis on speed, however - that's subjective. All I know is Wade Boggs was one of the greatest leadoff hitters ever, in my opinion.

D.Navarro C
T.Helton 1B
A.Escobar DH
M.Cabrera 3B
A.Nunez 3B
A.Ethier LF
G.Sizemore CF
J.Reyes SS
M.Giles 2B
S.Podsednik RF

This seems like a logical lineup vs. LH's? Pods, Ethier, Reyes or Escobar seem more logical to me.

Not gonna argue that point Bernie. Boggs was one of the best pure hitters.

A guy named Rickey Henderson was probably [b:8545d6338d]THE[/b:8545d6338d] best though.

I just thought with the speed/hits/OB and TB, there were better choices.
