Coors?

Coors?

Postby Sammy216 » Sat Jul 14, 2007 7:26 pm

I'm thinking of trying out Coors-- anyone done this. Obviously it's an offensive park, but any thoughts? Just try to out slug everyone else? Focus on Groundball pitchers...? Thanks!

Try to get as many sluggers as possible, go cheap with pitching, but try to get guys that don`t give up many ballpark homeruns, you also need one very good closer, you might need to spend some money there, or you`ll never be able to close out games. But I must warn you, if your the type of person that can`t stand for your pitchers to have a high era, then this park is not for you, your Sp will have era`s in the 6`s and 7`s

i go with 8 relievers 4* sp...use zambrano and lowe,,,zamb no chance of single in 1-19 park...i believe with the team i ahve at the moment i will keep a team era under4.50...very good defense actuall works..try for 1's at 2b and ss 1-2 at 3b -34 1b 1cf 2lf 2rf

I would go for a good IF defense. I like Hudson here, as almost everyone hits in Coors. I look at it as if I'm going to be able to score enough to win, the problem becomes having the opposition score less.

Has anyone achieved a championship at Coors this year? I think of it as the Holy Grail...I just don't think it's doable to consistently win when your pitching staff is ground into hamburger meat.
