You really do not need half of your players...I would swap out Urbina for a R2 pitcher of the same price, then I would drop Burnitz, Green, Baez,Wigginton and Baldelli outright (YOU DO NOT NEED TO PICK ANYONE ELSE UP FOR THEM!!)


use the cash to (you will have 12.753 million now) and drop Valentin for Boone. That will leave you 6.543 in the bank even still!!!! Then we can drop Molina for Ben Davis (you will not face enough lefties to get value out of Molina) This leaves you 7.403 million in the bank, you can also drop Burrell and Beltre for .5 guys that will give you and almost 8 million to play with...I would then drop JD Drew for Jeff Davanon you will have 7.7 million left then drop Winn for Ensberg leaving you with
4.793 million in the bank

and this lineup

C (platoon) Johnson/Davis
1B Texiera
2B Boone
SS ARod
3B Ensberg
LF Lee
CF Jones
RF DaVannon
DH Soriano

you could then upgrade Escobar to Russ Ortiz and Wolf to Mussina

and drop Urbina for Scott Sullivan...then drop Harang and Robertson for Wendell and Veres

I think my calculation might have been off a little on the cost ...somehow...anyway If money becomes an issue on the Mussina upgrade just drop Ensberg for a lower priced 3B who plays decent defense
