Looking for help with my '07 team

Postby pwhitsel » Tue Aug 07, 2007 2:12 pm

I am struggling trying to find the most efficient lineup for my team, and wondering if my pitching will carry me through the close games. I'm still fairly new to Strat and don't seem to do much better than .500 teams. I tried to stick with some of the guidelines from the newbie thread, but am wondering if I'm on the right track here or not. Any feedback would be appreciated!

None of your infielders can be hurt for more than 3 games so let Hernandez cover all those positions. Wilson is just collecting his check so you could cut him and put the money into the pen which isn't very strong. Do you have Geary set to avoid lefties; avoid before 8th; 1-2 innings pitched? He's getting to much action.

I have Wilson for a righty bat if the occasion presents itself, which may be too rare to warrant him being on the team.

As for Geary he's set to avoid left, avoid before 6th, 2-3 innings pitched. I'm guessing I should adjust those. I didn't want to cap the innings too much but maybe I'll need to for him.

Okay, I dropped Wilson and picked up Francisco Cordero for the pen.

What about my lineup? I can't seem to get them firing on all cylinders. Any tips on the order, etc?
