Limiting a 5th starter/reliever's innings

Ok so I have a 4-man rotation with a $.50 mil garbage fifth starter eligible guy as the rules require. He's also relief eligible. Other than checking "mop up" in the strategy options how can I truly work it so he pitches practically never? Anything else I can do?

You can put starter #5 in your rotation under manager settings. He should never start, unless you have an injury to your pitcher, as the other four all only need 3 days of rest. You could also set up your day to day starters, under manager settings, and put him as the fourth or fifth pitcher out.

Will that keep him from pitching...most likely, but if you go into extras and you run out of relievers all bets are off.

if you really want to add good measure...
i would check off avoid for both lefties and righties...
not that this would have any great effect...but if he ever gets in
a game, you have him very limited in his appearance
