Infield In

Which inning is the earliest you might start to bring the infield in
3rd
4th
5th
6th
higher

Not sure how to play this one? Please advise, if you had better luck with a certain time to do this.

Thanks

I asked a similar question when I had a great defensive team. Luckyman, who was a very good player and strategist back in the Day, responded that he would do it in the second inning. His reasoning was that it is more likely to be a blowout situation with the infield in in the first inning and he didn't want his pitcher pulled that early. I forgot if there was something specific about the first inning in SOM that made him worry about the first inning blow out. I didn't explain it as well as he did, but that was his answer.

But Lucky did always say that he pulled in his infield in the second inning because he didn't want to be giving up cheap runs throughout a game. If it worked for him, it works for me. The dude had something like a .580 winning% against any and all leagues if he wasn't experimenting with some new strategy.
