Let us WATCH the games!

One thing that's always bothered me is investing so much time and effort into a team and then waking up on mornings of big (playoff or playoff implication) series and only getting to find out the results by seeing the final score.

That really stinks. How great would it be to at least have the option of viewing a "Gametracker" type simulation of the games and be able to watch the drama unfold as it happens. We cringe during those bases loaded 2 out situations with out bad clutch guy up, we bite our nails as we see a fly ball lofted to our leftfielder who's a 4e15, and we yell at HAL as he pinch hits for Pete Alexander or Johan Santana in the 4th inning after a 2-run homer.

This cannot be that hard to do and to at least have the option to watch the game unfold this way, instead of just seeing final scores, would be phenominal, no?

Most of us probably grew up playing strat. We didn't just set lineups and see final scores. We wanted to re-live the games. And we did. And we need to be able to here, too.

that would be cool. Maybe they can start with just the crucial moments of a game.

i think the way it should work is...
when results are posted, under each link it should have 2 options:
"Watch game!" or "View Box Score". The final score results should NOT be viewable on this 1st screen to give each manager the option to watch the game to find out the results and not have it spoiled in advance.

This is an awesome idea. I agree that it seems like something that should be do-able. Watching the games unfold could make it feel much more like what Strat-o-matic face-to-face has felt like for decades.

Before this conversation gets too far, why don't you restart this topic in the "questions, and suggestions" message board for Strat.

Sounds great. But I know what the net effect of such an innovation would have on me and my plans. I was planning on being much more hands off from day to day but a video presentation would make it awfully tempting.
