DH help

Okey Dokey, the link works.

As I said, I am not familiar at all with the '01 set but from what I see, I think you don't have to worry so much about injuries to Jeter or Batista they both have over 600 PAs so they'll only go down for 3 games in case of an injury, however I'd be more concerned with Bush, he is an INJ 5 and Paquette is a 4e41 and Nunez a 4e10 backing up 2B. I think I'd try to swap Nunez for a better Defensive backup 2B.

As far as the pitching goes, I looked at Kile and Milton, I really don't know how any of those pitchers perform, their cards seem to me a bit pricy for how they look at first sight but...as I've said maybe they perform pretty good. The only other thing I see is your pen, I'd try to upgrade an arm so that you have one good set-up man for Mo.

I've read many times how in other sets prior to '05 the trick is in finding bargains and in general that the pricing was a bit different.

Probably this doesn't help much...maybe if you rename the topic to call attention to the fact that your team is '01 you can get some help from the vets that have been here longer.

Hmmm. Good advise but unfortuanately there arent too many defensive choices for 2b backup, let alone in my price range. I may just play w/ what I have and go for a trade if need be.

I realize that since Bush had 275 or so AB's that he was probably injury prone but you said he is listed as inj 5? Where did you see that on the card.

Cummings,

Also thank you for the link for defenses. Didnt understand it to use it now but I can go over it later. I did find another discussion on infield defense which said to not worry about range as much on the corners as much as errors. Guess thats why Batista was available but I am sticking with him since I am only platooning him and Paquette could play full time time if necessary.

you can see the injury in the card by looking for where the injury roll falls, so that if there is no +Inj in the card, the player is an INJ=0 (No inj) then if the +Inj falls under the 2 or 12 (like most players) he is an inj=1; 3 or 11 inj=2; 4 or 10 inj=4 and do on...

Wish I could be more help, but I'd rather say I'm not up to the 01 set rather than give you some bad pointers. Good Luck with the team, it starts tonight right?
