searching for undervalued cards

I drafted Marrero based on this thread, and have been thrilled so far (5 HRs in 9 gp). I was wondering how you found him in the first place--did you go through every single card, or just notice that his HR numbers would extrapolate well to an entire season.

For the rest of you--how did you find your most valuable cards?

Also, it looks to me like there aren't really many or even any pitching bargins the way there are with hitters.

There are several answers to your question..

1) there is a ratings books available for purchase through SOM

2)There is a ratings service available for purchase from Joe The Jet..among others

3)You can read the cards...like I do....for me it is part of the allure.

I just read the cards... it takes a while, but is fun. Marrero I first noticed because I very underwhelmed with the 1B cards in this set. I was looking at him as a left-hand platoon because of his obp, then noticed the HR vs. RHP. I usually use him in pitcher parks in the 6 or 8 spot.
