Frank Thomas 2006 Card???

I couldn't resist picking up the Big Hurt. His name implies both his HR capability and is injury rating. I was wondering:

1) Have any of you guys used him in an '06 leauge?
2) Have you seen any other cards similar to this?

If I'm reading the card right, to reach base when his card is played he will either walk or hit a HR (other than a single on 2nd dice roll possibilities). I'm playing in Fenway and needed some power. I hope it works out.

The Big Hurt will get hurt ALOT.

However, if there are some LH's in your division, you get the homeruns when he plays.

One team in my division has 4 *SP LHP so hopefully he'll be healthy when I face them again. I also have a couple of guys who can fill in when he does inevitably get hurt.

(I fixed the links)

06 Thomas is a maniac, pure and simple. As you can see, he's got so much power (against *both* sides), that he'll knock homers wherever he plays. I think he'd do quite well in Fenway.

Nate McClouth is a uber cheap, but highly effective backup to play when Thomas is down. In fact, McClouth almost begs to be given full time play, so I often use injury monkey JD Drew in RF and basically rotate McClouth to play whenever one or the other goes down.

btw -- when looking at the stats, don't focus on batting avg etc for Thomas and McClouth, focus on runs and rbi.

Yeah, they're working now. I'd like to combine Frank's Comerica stats (.217/50hrs/120rbis) with your 93-69 record at Ameriquest. That was a great season for you, the best record I've seen in my short time checking strat-o leagues.

Well, I consider myself to be only so-so to above avg at 200X. But on that team it seemed to be the pitching that made the real diff. Pitching to me is the toughest to figure out in 200X.
