2001 league

Update

Hal just played the games shortly after midnight so my East Coast Rockers are now 9-6. If the playoffs started today I would be the wildcard team. Of course no league ends their season after 15 games. Hehe. Long season ahead and I jumped right into this one. I must like it.

My 2001 team did it last night. I've won my 16th 2001 season championship to tie IrishII for most championships won. After a hard fought semifinal series that went 5 games, it was nice to win the title in a 4 game sweep.

Since taking up 2001 again I have played 14 teams. 8 of those won the championship. 11 teams have won 100 games or better. 12 won pennants and a playoff spot. 13 teams have had winning records.

Let's see if there is anyone out there willning to take me on!

I thought I had a 2001 credit, which I should have, as I lost to Kolak in my last 2001 finals. I never got it and won't complain about it, so I'm bowing out. Good luck, guys. At this point, Kolak is at least as good in 2001 as he says he is. Trust me. I have the bootprints to prove it.

DNeedle: TSN does not award 2001 credits anymore. It does award 2005 credits for championship playoff appearances in 2001 and 2002 leagues. Not sure about what is done in 2003 leagues since I never seem to win any there.

Congrads JKolak on your championship. I look forward to our teams meeting in TSN_9137 next Saturday.

BTW, you were right about Jamie Moyer. Compared to what even Lieber is doing for me as an innings eater and low ERA/WHIP man, he had to be cut. But my pitching is probably the best part of my franchise so releasing a high priced mediocre pitcher shouldn't hurt. Anyway, so long four man rotation. Johan Santana, who has performed well for me in long relief, graduates to the rotation. I won't bore you with the specifics, you'll see next Saturday.

Once again the league is TSN_9237 and we only need two to frenzy tonight. This is one of my slowest nights of my work week so I can do this tonight.

Come on... only two.
