Thanks a lot penn. Now that I can't access the old boards makes my life so much simpler......not. Want to post a link to the old boards or are they lost completely?

penngray, would you please do me a favor?

There's a draft on your site called the Iron Range League. Can you please make it an AL-only (parks and players) league?

Thanks for your help.

I have done live drafts but I did them on the boards. Your software is not absolutely necessary to do things. You are not almighty. But even if I could not do live drafts on the boards I would simply not do live drafts rather than put myself in a position where anyone can dictate to me where I post or what I do or what opinions I can have. The arrogance of that amazes me even for you. You may not like me not liking your attitude but reading this thread I was not the only one who was put off by your "I will have my way or else attitude". Take your ball or software or whatever it is you think you can hold over people's heads to force them to do your will above all. I will pass, now and forever. Then I cannot be blackmailed in to whatever you choose to dictate to me.

I've always thought...

...that we should be charged a small fee to use the software. It could be put towards development of upgrades or new products.

That way, nobody would have the feeling that someone is "lording" over them, the person who put in hundreds of his own hours would get (at least minimally) rewarded, and all would be solved.

I'd be happy to pay, it's worth it.

I would like to thank Penn for having a rational opinion and the balls to express it to TSN and this community. Having two boards active at the same time is total BS. The new boards make all the sense in the world and for the most part are satisfactory. The ability to display ads at the top of the page means that TSN can generate additonal revenue from the boards... a very good thing IMHO. I continue to shake my head though, at the manor in which our TSN hosts manage this community. Passive one moment... aggressive the next. Why they couldn't have made this move in a decisive, well comunicated fashion continues to floor me. Why they could not have worked out the bugs and put themselves into the shoes of this community in anticipating our needs from the outset ( search function, PM, archiving of the old board) is a real disapointment. Was it Penn's ultimatums that has forced TSN's hand... maybe/maybe not, but I appreciate his commitment to this community.

[quote:44f2028732]valen, keep your BS in the bullpen.[/quote:44f2028732]Or what, you won't let me use your software? I was not responding to something posted in the bullpen. Perhaps the bullpen would have been a more appropriate place for this thread in the first place. But you did not put it there so I responded here in this thread where it was located.

As far as your orders to me are concerned, mesquiton had the right idea for those.
