Epic Comeback 22-1 over last 23 games

It's freaky to be on the bad end of such end-of-season drama, but that's why we're here...the unexpected. I'll often use the same players on different teams, with wildly different results. That's dice for ya. But don't quit on us. Just take some deep breathes and hang in there; your luck will turn. Your opponent is a quality manager who's been in a few of my leagues, and I respect him. He doesn't control HAL...no one does.

That is extreme to see such a negative run differential win the league, but the offered explanation makes a whole lot of sense. I'll try it with my next team. I've had MANY teams that finished second or even third despite a huge positive RD.

Perhaps dump the $25 leagues and downshift to the $12.50 leagues, where it might not hurt so much when the dice go berzerk. But let go of that season and have fun with this game. And remember it is just that...a game.

High regards to both parties...

Tonight was the very first time I looked at the message boards and boy am I glad that I did. The title of this thread intrigued me and drew me in. I don't know that I have ever read an entire thread before in my life. First and foremost, congrats to the doggies. I can imagine that was a lot of fun to watch happen. Hell, I get excited over a 3 game sweep of a team with a better than 500 mark. Shinsational, you are off the chain man. Your posts are hilarious. While it is somewhat comforting to know that I am not the only person who actually takes the time to over analyze my teams performance to the point of being OCD about it, I certainly hope that I never take it so seriously that I rant about an epic failure for days on end. Someone should hook up urishade with some good free porn websites

I was feeling I had gotten some of your bad karma. I was 73-41 with the best record by 10 games and then proceded to go 7-20 but managed to pull out first place by one game with 88-74 record, going 17-31 over the last 48 games. If things had gone really bad I could have been out of the playoffs entirely. We did have a team go 1-9 and missed the playoffs in a tiebreaker. If that would have happened to me I would have pulled my hair out like Steve Carell did in " The 40-year-old Virgin." I know it's no consolation to you but just wanted to let you know that stuff happens to everybody in this game to varying degrees.
