Injured Starter

Injured Starter

Postby Spider 67 » Sun Jun 01, 2008 6:11 am

I just had Maine injured for 8 games and have only 5 starters with no way to avoid Maine as a "per-game starter." What does HAL do to fill with a starter? Does HAL start a reliever or do I suffer with unrested starters until Maine is off the injured list?

HAL will choose one of your RP to start. Don't worry, it usually turns out just fine. Don't drop anybody just to pick up another SP.

I think this is good advice. However, I did panic when I lost Anibal Sanchez (2006 season) 15 games without a backup starter. I dropped my weakest reliever and picked up Tomko, the best starter I could afford. He went 0-3.

With an 8-game injury I would definitely just let HAL use a reliever to cover the one missed start.

Thanks for the comments. I see that HAL is starting Soriano (R2 C1) in Maine's place. I expect to use a brace of relievers in that game and get back to normal.

I believe the game coverts RP who have to start to S5, so it should be ok.
