Sizemore played 162 games in 2007, and doesn't have an injury on his card. I'm just curious, how did this happen?

He took one off the shin and had a bone bruise and came out of the game to be checked-out so he could be ready for the next game :? . With HAL in charge you never know  . SGT D

players with no injury on thier card are still exposed to remainder of the game injuries...they will be back in the lineup the next game.

Hmm. I thought it was:

<600 - 15 game max.
600-679 - 3 game max.
680+ - rest of game
162 GP - can't be injured

If there is no injury roll on the card, how can an injury result? Is there another formula involving X-chart results? Can't remember, its been many years since I played the board game.

This has come up a few times over the years...palmtana's info is what I always went by as well...however, I remember a discussion from a few years back involving a 162 game player(?) who got injured...he had less than 700 pa"s(?) and was open to rest of game injuries some how...maybe as DH? I cant remember the details but I do remember that it came down to number of PA's. I think it was from the 80's game.

Splinter,

I'm with you on the PA issue. Maybe I'm completely missing the obvious (it happens these days), but if the player has no injury indication on any roll on his card, like Sizemore and a couple others in every season, how does HAL create that injury? Unless there is some other way to get injured that is buried in the fine print of the rules, how can it be the result of a die roll? I'm stumped.

This has me baffled. I've never seen a 162 game player get injured, even for the remainder of the game.

A '680' P.A. guy gets hurt for the remainder of the game, but not a no-injury guy.

What Palmtana said above is exactly how I interpret the injury situation as well.
