My one coors team was a winner. I took the exact opposite approach as crazy canuk. I think bad pitching leads to bad results, so I selected cheaper hitters with power, no speed, but solid defense and good pitching. I ditched closers hoping for more blowouts and fewer save situations. results were great, won the series. It always helps to have RJ.

Hey Dave, congrats on winning the title. That is a different approach and I think it's a good one. I was only saying the formula that I've usually seen. In the end, your approach makes sense. If it's the hitter's park it is then anyone should hit there so you need the better pitchers. Yes, RJ helps. I'm starting to think all you need to win is have him. :(

Walks walks walks. BPHRs are valuable, direct HR's are where you overpay. This is why someone like Morneau isn't as valuable as you might think in Coors, he has a ton of direct HR, much more valuable in pitcher's park. Someone like Drew with a ton of walks and max BPHR but few direct HR (as well as gba) has their value maximized in Coors. Just my 02
