Player who is the most injured in one season

Postby PAULMINICUCCI » Wed Feb 08, 2006 7:49 pm

I have Shannon Stweart on one of my teams and he has played pretty well for me, hitting over .300 and okay in the field. Howver he has now been injured 12 times in one season. he only has 208 ABs. So it got me to thinking, I wonder who has seen the player who got injured the mostr times (not necessarily most total games) in one season. Twleve times, he was injured came back for two games went away for 12, came back for two, went down for 7 came back and on game into his recovery he is back on the injury list for 5 games, I can't keep track.

No need to shout, though...

The key is not looking at ABs other than the 600PA thing. Play the cards, some are more accurate than others in relation to their real stats but the rolls are all that matter.

Some real bargains out there amongst the oft injured. You just have to bank on them being out a lot and have a good backup (sometimes I've had as many as 17 batters on a squad!)

You're right about the bargains. Has anyone ever used Sequi? Just checking, I was thinking the next time I get into a $100 million league I might jump on some of these guys and use a 16 or 17 man hitters roster.

injuries

I don't if such records are kept or even if they merit consideration, but I think my latest squad may have set a record for injuries. Of my starting position players, only my catchers have an injury rating higher than 1 and both of them are 2s. Yet I had at least one player out with injury for 47 consecutive games starting with my primary catcher going out on Opening Day. Two of my regulars were out for 15 games each and actually had a starting pitcher go down. That's some bad dice rolling.
