Why is Jeter a "2" (great article on his defense)?

LOL I don't know if I saw that one Shankly. But I would love a job in sports, writing or radio.

I agree Dean--his arm is a huge factor as previously posted--and definitely much better range to his right--or so it seems since he tends to be able to use that arm to get batters out.

Speaking of Bubble Boy's nemesis...didn't the card say Moo[b:6a03a0e4a3]p[/b:6a03a0e4a3]s?

I/m sorry...but I can't do it justice. It's from a Seinfeld episode when George is playing Trivial Pursuit with a sick guy (who has to remain in a bubble), and the correct answer to the question was clearly The Moors--but the card erroneously says Moops--and George in his classic loser ignorance declares triumphantly: "I'm sorry, the card says Moops" --which of course George will not relinquish amidst great protest from "Bubble Boy"...you know then it takes the typical bizarre Seinfeld turn to craziness and they run out of the house.

The bubble boy episode--it's like a Seinfeld rite of passage.
And of course Bubble Boy's nemesis was George.

BTW--Seinfeld another genius from my home area of Long Island...
cheers
Frank

Dean's signature used to include the quote "I'm sorry, but the card says Moops"

[quote:e275b583fc]Well, I didn't transcribe the play by play. I recorded the locations of everything live for their online scoreboard: every pitch location and the location of every play... the data from which the fielding calculations/statistics were derived. And it's not just any website; it was for Major League Baseball. That seems to me as having some relevance to this discussion.

longgandhi, How would I go about getting a job like that. I watch Gamecast all the time in the summer and I've often thought to myself "What a great job that must be, I wish I could be the guy who updates the games"

I also have a question. Do they have 1 person per game or do you have to update 2 or 3 games at a time?
