One thing I learned my first time through this is that a great regular-season rotation isn't necessarily a great playoff rotation. I had a 5 1/2 man starting staff with a backward RHP and backward LHP in the mix, which helped me to the best record in my league in the regular season.
But in the playoffs I faced a guy who had Peavy and Smoltz. His other SPs were mediocre, but having those two guys gave him a big advantage in a five-game series.
Just some food for thought.
