Joining Private leagues

It seems to me if a private league is in need of managers, they would open it up to fill remaining slots. How could I get invited to such a league?

If a private league isn't full it's usually only because the remaining Managers/Owners haven't loaded their team yet. Depending on several factors it may take a few days for a particular league to fill.

Secondly, this is a down time for most theme leagues. When the new season kicks off (sometime in March) numerous leagues will be created. Look here in this forum for possible leagues to join.

Lastly, many leagues are ongoing, IOW will not have available spots, however, when the new season begins they will be plenty where Managers will be invited, too.

My suggestion is to check in here often, get involved, make your name known and that's how to get invited into private leagues.

Good Luck!

JeepDriver,
I believe that Glanny is known, since he is one of the few people to play at this site who also actually played Major League Baseball.

Glanny, if you have an idea for a theme league, I would be honored to join, and I am sure many others would as well. Or if you or someone else wanted to start a new Keeper League for those of us who are not already in one, that would be cool too. I think this is the slow time of the year for Strat fans. Even if you are not the famous,"Glanny" all of this still applies, I guess except for the beginning part(no offense to you Jeep).

If you are interested in an 80 million dollar ATG league, there is one called," Newcomers 2008". There are 8 spots left, but it should hopefully fill up by this weekend. I hope to see you there!

Doug Glanville is a Strat fan. After receiving a 2 in CF one year he had a sit down with Hal to make his case on why he deserved a 1. He is 6'2" tall.
