how much do you get into it!!!

I get up about 7 or so, head downstairs and fire up the computer in the freezing cold (I turn the heat down to 58 at night since we all sleep upstairs). I check my team's results, set the lineups and pitching for the next day's games, then go to work. Then, while I'm at work, I always have a window up to my team's home page and frequently check back to see what the other teams are doing, check transactions, see if I can make some trade offers, etc.

I live on the west coast. The night of my first ever series the scores came in at 9:35. So now, every night I start clicking reload at that time hoping for results. I'm always a bit let down if there are none before retiring.

Like Splinter said, it's been 4 or so years for me. Sad to say, but checking my strat team(s) is what makes waking up so exciting. I do take breaks, sometimes going several weeks without a team to regain some normalcy.

I live in Central Time, so I usually am asleep before scores are posted. I have been known to set my alarm for 2am or so if I have an autodraft or postseason action to check out the results, and then go back to bed. Fortunately my wife is a heavy sleeper; she of course knows about my Strat addiction, but I don't think she knows about the 2am rendezvous.

Bio, too funny. I don't even need the alarm clock and I get up between 2 and 4 and look at scores then go back to bed. It's a sickness.

Only have 3 teams going right now. I need a fix!!

Thanks now I don't feel so bad thinking I am the only one out there who can't wait for the next day to see were I am. One good note is that this morning I woke up to my second straight series sweep landing me in first. I guess its gonna be a long night waiting till tomorrow!!!!!

This has turned into an SOMA meeting (Strat-O-Moholic's Anonymous).

I'm Sean. I live on the West Coat thank God, where I can stay up to 11pm or so to check scores. I also spend way too many work hours with lineups etc...

I think about my team while drving down the road, when I go to bed at night etc...

Sad? I was not so happy before this "sadness".

ditto to everything bleacher creature just said except I live on the east coast so I have to wait until I get up around 5AM to start looking at my scores. I am writing this from work. I spend too much time with this at work than I should probably.

I was dragged into a play at the local community theatre the other night. It was boring. I started daydreaming about my teams and how I could improve them all the time appearing to be watching the play and enjoying it. :)

Church is another excellent place for filling out lineups, considering pitching matchups for that night's games, etc...

I wonder what my record is on a Sunday night where I attended church vs no church. Pretty lopsided toward church I would guess.

Here's one for you---I'm in court all day yestreday at my daughters very nasty divorce trial. A VERY long and drawn out day--I found myself wondering whether to start Gibson or Koosman in the 1st game of the playoffs starting last nite. The lawyer had given us some paper to write notes on to dispute testimory and I have Koosman and Gibson written down and the lawyer asks me at recess who the hell are Gibson and Koosman?? LOL Didn't even realize I was doing it. :D

I'd suggest a new lawyer...not that you can trust any of them but certainly not one who doesn't know Koosman and Gibby.
