Seattle had thier league rapped up one year after 20 games on the way to a 100 win season and out in the first round. Mike

[quote:edd6493e7a="rmilter"] And how about Yankee fan wanting to run Robinson Cano out of town, after last year? Could there be a dumber sentiment? Cano is an all-star, pure and simple, yet Yankee fan was not satisfied. Boo hoo. Looks like you have another 300 million dollar jalopy again this year. How humiliating to get swept yet again by your arch rival Red Soxs.[/quote:edd6493e7a]

I wish I had the time to quote everything youve said because its flatout hilarious...anyways Ill stick with this one....If you ever watched a yankees game other than when your tribe (who you've automatically inserted into the playoffs, bold...) plays them, you would have seen Cano give no effort at all last year. Now for the "300 million dollars" they spend on players, they should be giving 300,000,000%. Im not sure about you, but when I see a player giveup on plays and sulking everyday I sure as hell dont want him on my team. Now I have to give it to Cano, he hisworking *** off this off season and came into camp in the best shape of his life, and woah look! Its paying off so far!! Effort=success, which helps a team toward its overall goal of winning. In short, if I see a player not hustling I view that as not wanting to win, and being selfish, and I dont know anyone who would want that attitude on their team.

thisisdan,
I agree that players should hustle. And not much can make fans angrier than players that don't. But if teams got rid of all the players who did not give 100%, all the time, well many, many great players(past, present, and future) would be cut! Starting with the best hitting catcher in baseball, Victor Martinez. Many players (great and otherwise) have dogged it on plays. My point was Cano is a top of the line 2nd baseman, and the Yankees and their fans are spoiled and over demanding!
