I have wanted that since I began playing. Sounds like a great idea to me!

I am 100% aboard. This should be a No-Brainer!! Both series should be 7 games. Always should have been. I think this was brought up a couple years ago but to no avail. It needs to change!

By the way TH, nice game in Oakland last night. The Twins bats were due to break out. It's too bad I couldn't stay up late enough to watch it all!

I agree with this idea. And not just because I lost 3 out of 4 playoff games over the last two nights in the semi finals. It just makes more sense.

I don't how we can make this happen. I've been an advocate of the 7 game semi's for a long time.

1. It makes sense- logically
2. It makes sense- statistically ( perhaps the most important consideration since we all love this game because of the statistical aspects)
3. I think, based on past surveys, most (75% or more) WANT a 7 game series in the semi's

There are so many reasons why a 7 game is better: Here are a few:

If a .500 ball club has an ace pitcher- that pitcher could start 40% of the games (2) in a 5 game set and beat the .630 ball club

It cheapens the regular season

Over the years players have complained about this aspect of the game almost more than any other thing, yet NOTHING is ever done about it.

And so on.

I'd like to make this change too. It looks like the opportunity to do so may present itself by the end of the year - no promises.
