Hi everyone...
It's true that I've gotten into trouble before for divulging more than SOM wants revealed about their code. But it's never been detailed exactly what's off limits and what's not, which makes it tough for me to know what I can say. In the interest of serving you, I tend to push the boundaries as far as I can, but (I repeat, from my earlier post) I hope you understand that the code is of course SOM's property and it's perfectly reasonable for them to be protective of it. So don't be surprised if I can't give you all the answers you're looking for.
And of course, the latest questions from Bio. Man are in that murky area. Here's my best shot at answering them, and other questions posed in this thread.
[i:e462d8a2af]Do @ become hits?[/i:e462d8a2af]
Well, as tonymiller and marcus wilby have observed, they seem not to as a direct result from Pitch Count Fatigue. I'm unable to say (because I'm not certain) whether they ever become hits, but there might be the [i:e462d8a2af]possibility[/i:e462d8a2af] that they become hits when a pitcher reaches his "old school" point of weakness (e.g. 3 hits in 1 inning). I'll look into this.
[i:e462d8a2af]Do dice rolls gravitate?[/i:e462d8a2af]
Not certain yet, nor do I have explicit permission to discuss.
[i:e462d8a2af]How bad is F8, F0?[/i:e462d8a2af]
I doubt I could ever give you an explanation of this that's 1) better than what you've all apparently figured out already and 2) permissible for me to divulge. The only thing I can see that's left is to give you the actual code, which I'm sure you can understand is not an option.
Well... that's what I got for now. I hope I wasn't completely unhelpful. After reading through this and the other "Mystery" thread, it's clear that you've gleaned a LOT about how it works through your rigorous experiments and frankly, I think you already know more than SOM would be comfortable with anyone ever knowing!
And in fact, I can see now that the fact that I proceeded to include the F ratings right in the play-by-plays - without SOM's permission! - has helped you reach this point, so I wouldn't blame them if they were to disapprove. I know this is not what you're looking for, but please understand my neck is pretty far out there as it is.
