Re: Draft on hold

[quote:908ec412d0="tcochran"]It looks like there were 12 picks made between 10AM and noon, the proper window for your draft pick. Do I understand correctly that you wanted to draft one of those 12 players?[/quote:908ec412d0]

'tree, please reply to question from earlier post.

Thanks!

Sorry, I have been checking the somdraft.com site every 20 minutes or so. I apologize for not checking on here.

I would like Justin Masterson for pick 258.

I agree with JMP that we should make sure everyone is on the same page with future picks in this draft. I think the easiest thing is just dont jump the person in front of you unless they have been idle for longer than 24 hours. Also, dont have a time limit when to start or finish for the day, just have the draft going 24/7 to avoid time confusion.

Do we know if everyone in the league is "watching" this topic? Do we know if we can communicate with everyone when trying to get the word out on something?

If we did not have a clock on the draft, it would end up taking more time than the actual playing season itself -- so we need to keep the 2-hour clock, as stated in the original rules.

The only tricky part is that the first pick of each day does not necessarily show up with a 2-hour window. All other picks seem to be timed just fine.

I will contact tech support for the draft site about how to resolve that. For now, we all just need to remember that the first manager of the day has until noon to make a pick.

Just for the record, if that manager does not pick by noon, then the next manager is free to do so -- and is even ENCOURAGED to do so, in order for the draft to move along to completion.

I doubt it. This thread should be closed, and everything should be handled on the individual league thread.

Does this mean we can keep the picks as is from 259 -263?

Do we "re-do" picks beginning with the team that originally took Masterson?

Whatever you guys think is fair is fine with me.

I just wanna keep building my team!

If I understand correctly, instead of Carrasco as your pick #258, you would have taken Masterson, right?

And Masterson was selected by Knight's proxy at #264 because your turn had been skipped in error.

So...

KNIGHT, in order to get this ship sailing down the stream again, will you agree to let dreamingtree take Masterson?

And if so, who would you like as a replacement at pick #264?

I agree with KD that all league discussion should henceforth be in the individual league chat at http://forums.sportingnews.com/viewtopic.php?p=4883711#4883711

Anybody know how to lock this thread? I don't see where that capability is offered by the forum.
