my mistake that would leave only 3? how can there be 30 X rolls on each side of a pitchers card? anyone else get this?

He means that the chance of rolling an X-roll (given that you're rolling on the pitcher's card) is 30 out of 108. He laid out the probabilities of an X-roll against each position in an earlier post. As mentioned, these probabilities are the same for all pitchers.

how does this account for X rolls in the 6,7,8 spot as compared to the 2,3,11,12 spot?

because if pitcher A has a GB(x)ss on a 7 then pitcher B will have GB(X)SS on a 2 and a 5(or what ever the math is)...it all evens out.

Oh no, here we go again. I think I remember a previous argument where a certain manager refused to accept that the chances of rolling a 6 with 2 dice was different than rolling a 3.....stay away from the craps table. :lol:

Dice rolls (chances)

2, 12 (1)
3, 11 (2)
4, 10 (3)
5, 9 (4)
6, 8 (5)
7 (6)

36 "chances" per column, 3 columns, 108 total "chances" per card.

Total "Chances" of an X on any pitchers card equals 30

So an X on a 6,7,and 8 = 16 Chances
An X on a 2,3,11, and 12 = 6 Chances
