Same pitcher as a Starter AND Closer?

Same pitcher as a Starter AND Closer?

I was just wondering what would happen if you had a pitcher like Brandon Morrow (S5/R3/C3 in 2008) in your starting rotation AND also had him set to be your closer? I'm not considering doing this or anything, was just curious what would happen (would he never come in as closer, would it affect his starts, something else)?
I might try it just for S's and G's if I fall far behind in a 2008 league, but like I said I was curious.

I've done that before, and basically he won't come in to relieve if you have scheduled him to pitch any of the upcoming games, and it also seems reluctant to bring him in after just pitching a game or two earlier.

In short, yes, I think the starting would never be affected, but he just wouldn't come in to close very often.

Thanks Dave, that is kind of what I figured (that they'd go to another option to close if he either just started or was scheduled to start) but I did notice you could assign a pitcher like that both roles, so it got me curious.
