I have found that, indeed, hitting is more important than pitching in SOM online. I'm not sure if EVERYone agrees, but this seems to be the consensus.
What do I mean by that?
For example, is a $9 mil pitcher as "valuable" as a $9 mil hitter?
Question to the experts here:

If you had to give the pitcher a "discount rate" vs a hitter of the same value(all things being equal), what would you assign? $1 mil? $2 mil?[/i:c7924e2238][/b:c7924e2238]
Meaning, would you knock down the value of a $9 mil pitcher to $7 mil "real" value vs a $9 mil hitter?
Yes, I know that there are ballparks, and defense, etc., but absent any of that, if you could/would/should assign a valuation, what would it be?
Curious minds want to know.
