Luckyman's invitation 1999 Live draft: 4 to go

I figured this is an outscore them, not outpitch them league. Thus, I picked up the best available position player X 9, then filled out the starters, then the relievers and then the bench. Now trying to guess what stadium is best for a mediocre staff, decent defense and good hitting. I am surprised how many good hitters are still available even after the draft.

Yeah, I pretty much had the same attitude than ggap. I wanted to pick early the injury-prone players, but I might have picked them a little bit early. Anyway we'll see.
My goal is to have my pitchers last 4 innings, and have Zimmerman finish with 20 wins. We'll see if it works out.
The one player I missed was Bonds, picked a few selections before I was to grab him with my 6th round choice. Worse, I kinda panick and took Nevin instead, which doesn't really fit with the rest of my team.
Jaha and Caminiti are two players I waited too long before deciding myself. I'm missing a big bat vs lhp at first base.

Well, I would qualify that statement. In the other Live draft league I am in, there are a few of our "unselected" players who have some roles, and they suck. Tony Clark, for one, hits under .200. Salmon is perhpas the only one who has some ok numbers.

Why not Sexson for your stated need at first? Just curious :?

Well, I thought I might as well have Bueher and his horrible first base defense for now in platoon with Casey (Sexson, with his 2e21, is not far off better defensively). If I have some injuries in the outfield, I can still bring back Bueher to his natural position, and have Casey (or Nevin) start at first base.
But I'm still not decided about my stadium. Sexson might be a good candidate if I go with Coors.

I think it ws the Northern league, an independentt league in the upper midwest, Manitoba and Saskatchewan
