Important Info On CD Rom Game

FYI...i love playing the CD Rom baseball game BUT i just discovered you can't transfer your seasons onto a new computer IF a computer generated season has been upgraded to the deluxe season by SOM. I have a number of computer generated seasons and one of them 1924 was upgraded to the more deluxe version, making my version untransferable onto a new computer. I was told by SOM i'd have to buy the 1924 season again, not a good answer!. The computer generated games are usually 11 dollars and the deluxe game 22 dollars. I have a number of the computer generated games which i could transfer to my new computer, but discovered that was only because they hadn't been upgraded yet. The old versions will continue to work on your old computer, you just can't transfer when theyve been upgraded. I have bought my last computer generated season and if i didnt enjoy playing the game so much i wouldn't spend another nickle on the game, including the TSN SOM online game. I even asked if they could offer a discount if i repurchased the upgraded 1924 season (like they offered the discount on floppy disk seasons for the new product code versions) and SOM said no i'd have to repurchase the 1924 season.

RE-RELEASED SEASONS

Occasionally Strat-O-Matic will re-release older “Computer Generated” seasons as “Deluxe” seasons, such as the 1957 season. These “Deluxe” seasons are based on all new research. Therefore a Product Code or Key Disk for the Computer Generated version of these seasons will not unlock the newly updated Deluxe Version of the same season. You will need to purchase a new Product Code in order to unlock these re-released seasons.
