Postby kylerose256 » Thu Jan 28, 2010 11:10 am

I have finally got the constitution and my yahoogroups to work. I realize this has taken longer than most of you would like, but I will be sending out invites this weekend. Lit and Mike I hope you guys will still play.

Kyle,

I got an pm from you, asking us to hang in there. Even if you finish the rules, I still have concerns. Regathering the owners who have signed up, and gaining more, will take effort. Probably being on the board at least daily for a while. Even if we do actually get the 24 managers, the draft will require a lot of attention. And then during the season, it seems the waiver process will require a lot of attention.
I have a lot of empathy for you situation, you have a new baby, and the wife, baby, and your job obviously have to come first. In this position, I question whether you have time to do what it takes to make a 24 team league happen successfully.
i will go ahead with 2010 keeper i have started, I might be willing to do this to, but only if it was very clear to me that this league was going to work and be run in a timely manner.
The one way I see this as possible is if you got a couple people to co-commissioner with you, maybe one to run the draft, one to communicate on the boards on a regular basis (or the yahoogroup if that ever works) and one to run the waiver process. You could be the idea guy, with other folks doing the day-to-day. I'm not sure if this is possible, and if there are other people who would commit to this, but that is the only way I would have confidence that the work necessary would actually get done,

I am already working with one guy and I plan to try and get 2 or 3 others to help me out. Those guys will help me with the league and also with the yahoogroups. I have no concerns about filling the league. I just need to make more time to work on it. Like I said I will have a constitution done tonight and the yahoogroups in full swing by the weekend.
