What are the odds?

Our league is now 15 games into the season and Placido Polanco has been injured 3 times, missing 7 games. Is he secretly an injury 6?

Ouch, this brings back an ugly memory from a few years back when I had Vernon Wells and his 3 game max rating missing 20 of my first 40 games. On the plus side, I don't believe he missed another after finally coming back. Actually, and sadly, the memories were coming back to me before this post, as I am in a league that H. Ramirez already missed 6 of my first 13 games, wondering if this was going to be my Vernon Wells 2010 revisited.

I our home league. Playoff day all the dice were shined up and ready to shake and one of our owners had Chase Utley, you have to roll a 1- 12 to get him injuredm only had four ABs in the playoffs. In three of those ABs he rolled 1-12 to get him hurt. The owner made it to the title series played 15 games and Utley was out for basically all of it.

I was going to post on the injury subject last night. I sure does seem that more injuries are taking place in 2010. I had 1 player with a 1 injury go down for 3 15 game injuries before I dropped him half way into the season. A 3 rated go down for 3 15's and 3 8's all in the '99 series. In the 2 '09 leagues players are dropping like flies in a bug light. Players that can only go down for 3 games are hitting the max and teams are losing 2 and 3 players at a time. Hardly anyone goes down for less than 8 games it seems like. I'm glad ony 1 catcher can go down at a time because as soon as 1 comes back the other goes on the DL. Maybe it's just me I don't know. Any thoughts? Mike

I played a game tonight where I lost 1-0 and the other team lost 4 players to the DL. 1, 2, 3 and 10 games.

My players are dropping like flies also. I had some players that were injury prone, but it seemed like I could not get anybody healty for 2 series in a row.So I cut them all and now everybody else gets injured. This is my first team, but it seems ridiculous.

Now 24 games into the season and I've already had 4 different players with 600+ plate appearances go on the DL, including Polanco who is at three times by himself and counting. If I'm reading the cards right, such a player should get injured about once every 216 PAs? Perhaps I've gotten all my injuries out of the way early.
