I signed up for a 2001 team last evening, only to find out I was the only public player. I'd be interested in joining another $12.50 league to get my feet wet. How can I tell before signing up what leagues are available/in need of additional teams?
This site is not very easy to navigate. Different links take you to different years/eras.
Is the only way to find opening to monitor the message board and hope you're fast enough to not get shut out? Thanks.

Thanks in advance.

Hey there Sid,

I think the TSN site tries to get to to sign up for the "premium" $25 sets and kind of hides the older sets a bit. You best bet for 12.50 leagues is probably the 2007 set, and you get the league list here:

http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/2007/draft/league_public_list.html

Changing the year in the above link will bring up some of the other years. The older sets don't get played nearly as much because TSN has improved the product quite a bit over the years, and you get a much different (and better) experience by playing the "premium" sets. Better stats, more pitcher and batter controls, improved interfaces etc.

By the way Sid, you are really sucking on my "back to the 90s" team. :)

I should have checked into this before signing up for the 2001 season. Wish it was transferrable. Now I'm in purgatory with that team.

As for Sid, I remember the Hawaiin being pretty tough on lefties!

Contact TSN and tell them you made a mistake and would like to play in another year set. They are very good at fixing things like that and will help you out with that. Good Luck it is a great game to play.
