Yes, obviously he is a DH. But, I am once again a victim of the autodraft and he's what I've got. I already had a nice plan for my DH vs. R (which I got), so now I'm stuck with him and very limited waiver options for 1B. I'm playing in SAFECO which makes it at least a little bit conceivable. So, could I get away with playing him at 1B?

Trade him. I'm sure someone with a team playing in Wrigley or Rangers Ballpark would gladly take him off your hands. And if that owner's division is loaded with RH pitching, you can probably walk away from the trade with a pretty good player for your team.
