Maxwell-Torres platoon

Maxwell-Torres platoon

Postby lev.cohen » Mon Nov 21, 2011 8:29 pm

i got them both to platoon but thru roughly half the year:

Maxwell:
82 7 8 2 0 0 6 14/34 BB/K .098 .229 .122
(including just over .100 against lefties) so a while ago i decided to play Torres everyday. He started out very well against lefties, but predictably has fallen off considerably lately, although his numbers vs. lefties are still solid

Torres vs. Lefties:
65 18 5 0 0 10 5/16 BB/K .277 .329 .354

should i stay with Torres or switch back to maxwell. they would both more than likely hit 8th or 9th vs. lefties.

Btw, i am at wrigley and the rest of my team is powerful

i have a different platoon, Abreu and Boesch that has worked extremely well.

here is the team with both platoons.

Lev, these are both good platoons & in that park I would keep using them. Maxwell should hit some HRs and get some walks, only half his PAs are vs. LH so far. Small sample size.

Also, Maxwell has good D, make sure you have Abreu and Boesch set to "remove for defensive sub with lead" and have Maxwell listed as a sub for RF. Also, make sure you have avoid RHs set on Maxwell. Maxwell also useful as PR.
