Whither goest the game?

The 24 team leagues make it kind of tough to form rivalries. Against some opponents there are only 3 games, with just 6 games against most other non-divisional opponents. A team with an injury is really at a disadvantage in the season series against a non-divisional opponent.

It would be pretty easy to balance the schedule for an 8 team league with 2 divisions. Assuming that the 3 game series format remains, there would be 30 games against divisional teams and 18 games against non-divisional teams for a total of 162 games.

With all of those games against a handful of other managers, there would be a lot of good rivalries.

[quote:482d205aac="misterpete"]Where is Braveheart League? Is it gone?

It only had one player in it 3 days ago![/quote:482d205aac]

Sorry........I took my team out of the league to revise my roster and did not get it put back in Saturday night(got sidetracked and forgot). Leagues with zero teams overnight at some time get deleted bt TSN......so it got deleted.

I created another league but it's Standard, 80m, waivers, no DH, 5-10-15. There are 2 teams in it now; myself and another. The name is: "Where's Braveheart" :-) In case you are interested.

There are more and more options in the market, lots of free games out there, the model online is changing, charging 25 bucks for one team is not something a ton of people can stomach when you can play on other sites for free. I hear rumors of longer free leagues starting soon in SOM, and no wonder, it's the only way to keep up with the competition.

Pete,

I am a part time SOM player. I have also noticed it takes some time to fill leagues. I do agree with the other players that theme leagues are more fun and fill quicker. I noticed that there was no ATG leagues filling so I am trying Back to the 90's Mystery Card game. Looks fun and we only need four more teams to fill the league. Join us if you are interested. League is TSN_012312.

IF someone is starting a new Retro Keeper I'd be interested in joining. Just don't have the time or energy to be the guy running it.
