I singled with 2 outs, runners 1st and 3rd, didn't score

Can somebody explain this:

How could I have singled and the runner on first is out before the runner on third scored? If it was a forceout then it wouldn't have been a single. I'm confused.

I did not get a run on the play.

Only way I can think of would be that the runner on first was tagged out somewhere between second and third before the run scored? :? Maybe runner on first passed the runner on third? :?

It was an infield single (to 2B) therefore the runner at 3B did not go and the runner was thrown out going from 1B to 2B

That doesn't make sense because then it isn't a single. That would be a fielder's choice. You don't get a hit for that. I must be missing something.

That result comes from a "rare play" off of the Super Advanced Fielding Chart. It means that the batted ball hit the runner who was on first base. THat means that the runner is out, the batter is awarded a SINGLE, and no other runners may advance.

If you have the Board game, look on the Blue Table.

Lol, awesome. That is actually cool. I am no longer mad. I was down 2-0 and that run was huge at the time and I thought I got ripped off. Now I know it was just freaky bad luck. I think it is cool that you can actually hit a runner with a batted ball, it just isn't cool that it happened to me lol. I'm glad it doesn't happen often. I have to say Strat-O-Matic is wicked clever with how it includes the rarest of baseball plays in such a way that actually simulates the rarity without excluding the play altogether.
