2011/ATG VI Ratings Available

Postby joethejet » Sat Mar 10, 2012 2:33 am

Hello All,

If you're looking for a way to improve your results by understanding the cards better and how to rate them, I just wanted to make you aware that I have been providing services that might help out.

In case you're curious, some of the guys who have purchased my 200n ratings in the past are: Riggo Drill, Woods, etdefender, Play By The Rules, stevep107, madigan, Kaviksdad, akIndian, and shakeyboomer.

Some ATG guys are: Petrosian, docx , Fesq, irish iii, PBTR, greyhound, Semper, rob55, and juma.

The guys who have purchased JTJ ratings have been very appreciative and mostly successful (see the site for their comments) so I wanted to let others know that it's available if they are so inclined.

I think there are also services provided by others. This certainly isn't the only way to get an understanding, but I just wanted to make people aware it's available in case they didn't know. Even if you don't use our system, I believe it's important to have *some* type of rating system with which to compare players.

I'm offering:

- Files containing all the stat calculations for the players along with my Ratings for all eligible players. Among other things, the ratings take into account hitting, power, ob, fielding, stealing, running, wild pitches, balks and T-ratings.

- Value Ratings for Teams (including specific comments on strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement) and if requested, entire Leagues.

- Ratings are available for all 200X, 1969, and ATG6.

Ok, now the bad news, I charge a modest fee for these services. Here's why:

- It takes time to generate the files. The only way I can justify the time to myself (and my family) is to get compensated for the time.

- I don't think it's fair to the guys who put a lot of time into do the calcs to just give it away

- The JoeTheJet ratings system took years for Wineman and I to develop and fine tune. We've been playing SOM for a combined 60+ years and we think it's a dang good way to evaluate the players.

If no one is interested, no problem - my day job keeps me plenty busy

You should be able to get all the info you need at the web site below. Or, contact me at ( joethejet at iwon. com or joethejet4 at gmail dot com )

I know some don't like that I do this and I'm sorry if this offends you, my only intent by this post is to let others know that there is a service available if they're interested. If not, fine by me, I can spend more time on my own teams!!!

Thanks,

Jet

Joe - please be advised that under the price listings for 2011 you have Comerica listed as your lefty HR park (6/6, 9/2) when in fact Comerica this year is (10/10, 8/8). I think you meant to list Progressive Field instead which is (6/6, 11/2).

P.S. Joe's ratings are definitely a big help...

Shakey,

Oops! Thanks very much. I was in a bit of a hurry.

The standard, "canned" parks this year will be:
Average Park (8.1/8.0 9.0 8.9)
Coors (19/19 16/16) Hitter Park
Petco (1/1 1/5) Pitcher Park
GAP (3/9 11/17) Righty Park
Progressive (6/6 11/2) Lefty Park

And thanks for the plug. I should also add that I'm offering the 2010 season at a discount. In fact, if someone would like to try the 2010 for free, I'll give the average park to the first five (or so) people who ask.

For the amount of time Joe's sage analysis saves you, your wife can enjoy you more around the house vs studying those cards

Thanks Semper, but maybe some of these guys don't want to spend more time with their wives. ;)
