Pythagorean record

Another example. I'm not complaining of losing, this team has the best record in the league. Again though, 2 games under (not as bad as the others at 6 or 7)

It maybe that, but I used to spend a ton on the bullpen, hell I'm one of the guys who used to get 16-20 wins from some guys in the Pen. But a lot of those 1 run losses are from the SP, not the bullpen.

I looked over my 2010, 2009 teams (which were all horrible Tbh) and still below my pythagorean.

Win or lose, I'm under.

I guess I just suck, time to stop playing :?:

I'm by no means an expert, but I still think you need another decent RP in that mix.

Like a straight R2 (no C rating) guy to grab some innings from the real cheapies...

I tend to get the same results; usually it's when my 1-run losses and extra innings are negative. More often than not it's while playing in parks skewed toward pitchers in some way. Not sure if there's a correlation there. I always attributed it to my piss poor manager.

My first team, just completed, had the highest pythag record in the league -- 90.3-71.7 -- but didn't make the post-season (3rd place, 85 wins). Very frustrating.

23-25 in 1-run games (and 12-8 in extra innings), so that's not the problem. Best record at home in the league (48 wins, 4 blown saves), but next-to-worst on the road (44 losses, 11 blown saves). Built disproportionately for my home park, I guess (though still scored 10 more runs than opponents on the road). Also, just didn't play well enough against my division, which includes the wild-card team.

102 errors, but only 46 unearned runs (anything below 1 unearned run every 3 games is pretty good).

Check out mid-season pick-up Garrett Jones, in a platoon -- .291/.367/.496 with 230 AB, all for a buck eighty-five. Also, Garrett stole 10 bases out of 11! (stealing-(C) *2-5/- (15-11)). That's a "high C" rating, it seems .... If you've got him, give him the green light!
