This is my first 2006 team. What do you think of this team?

I don't think you're taking full enough advantage of your park on offense. Can you grab a few more lefty sticks rather than so many switch hitters? You're vulnerable to LHP in your park and could easily lose your advantage. Look at your division. You can't go wrong with a few more lefties. Not crazy about all the RHB protection guys you have -- Thomas, Eldred, Marrero, Youk... Load up on LHB. Lots of LHB who can also torch LH pitching this year.

What are the other parks in your division, and what kind of pitching do those teams have? Mostly righties? If so, you're looking darn good... but, like Dan said, if they start a couple of lefties against you, suddenly your lineup is a lot weaker. I would start as many lefties against you as possible, regardless of the threat that Frank Thomas poses in that situation. Giles and Berkman will be huge for you, I bet, but Tony Clark might be a bit of stretch with his injury risk (Thomas, too) and the fact that he hits righties so much better than lefties.

I'm guessing, though, that this roster is pre-waivers, so you probably have several moves that you want to make. James Baldwin might be an idea for you... R3 reverse righty, I like him this season for some reason. You're going to need someone to eat innings with all those 1's in the pen.

Robinson Cano is going to have you sacrificing chickens by mid-season... a 3e21 isn't a great idea at second base. Alex Cora is solid defensively, and less than a million. A possibility?

i'm hoping chad orvella will fill the role you suggested for baldwin. Less HR's too, but not as strong of a L rating. Cano, yeah, options are limited other then adam kennedy, and i figure other ppl are holding out for the same reasons. the other parks are a mix in my division. US Cellular, Petco, and Turner. So all in all, a huge lefty advantage.
