Does he stay injured while unclaimed?

Plus, I want to pick up a player that has an "I" for injured next to his name, but when you click on him, it doesn't say "injured for X games'. It's just blank.

I clicked on other injured FA's and they all have a 'games left' injury note. But not my guy. Should I pick him up expecting him not to be injured? Or is it a game error?

Bug in the system.

A dropped player still has the Injury mark in the FA list if he was dropped while injured but the injury only last as long as was originally indicated.

I'm guessing that player data is updated by the game engine on a game by game basis but since FA aren't in games their player information is not getting updated.

so if there is no # of games left on FA card....how many games will Hal keep him out after I acquire him?

If there is no number of games injured listed on his card then he can play right away once you pick him up. Until he plays in his first game he will carry that red I next to his name but don't let that bother you. He is elligible to play.
