Teixeira?

Teixeira?

Postby geekor » Tue Apr 25, 2006 1:44 pm

Noticeing that in most of my leagues, he is majorly sucking! In 9 of my leagues that have played at least 60 games, only 3 is he hitting anything close to his card, 2 BOB and 1 Dodger stadium. Now part of the problem is in some of those bad examples he is in Petco or Jacobs. But some are in Turner, or another BOB.

Does his card just underperform? Or is it one of those "[u:19a6a10eaf]only[/u:19a6a10eaf] use in a hitters park" cards.

Doing lousy for me in turner after 45 games...

.256 ba
.349 obp
.500 slugging
10 hrs
17 rbi's

Card does not seem to be THAT bp dependent....of course EVERYONE on my turner team is doing lousy!

That's not encouraging at all considering I have a team that drafts tonight and Tex was high on my card . I forget what park I was going into but it was 11-11-13-13 .

Teixeira for me through 108 games in the Metrodome:

.255 BA
.345 OBP
.505 SLG
25 HR
91 RBI (among league leaders)

Most of that above came vs. RHP (I have him batting 3rd). His splits vs LHP are pretty anemic.

Actually, in perusing the activity in quite a few leagues, I have seen many good Teix performances.

I dumped him about 1/3 of the way through.

He was hitting under .240, with .320 OB.

vs RHP, 14% of his OBP is BB or HBP, and only 23% or so of his hits are natural, so yes, I consider this card very BP HR dependent vs RHP and I don't buy him very high because of that. In a neutral park/div, I would expect around .260/.350/.520 - respectable but not great.
