stats glitch?...

stats glitch?...

Postby bomp helium » Mon May 29, 2006 6:15 pm

This appears to be a minor glitch:

In the simulated L/R area of the team page, after the individual player breakdowns we are given team totals versus left and right. In hitting, we are given team totals versus left and right for BA, OBP and SLG. Yet in pitching, we are given team totals versus left and right for OAVE, while ERA and WHIP are left blank.

Although it isn't that hard to calculate these, it would be nice to see the team's ERA and WHIP vs. left and right handed hitters displayed...

I would imasgine that this is a very minor coding bug that can be easily fixed...although, of course, nothing with computers is really "easy"...

just hoping this might be one of the less difficult problems to repair...

thanks for checkin' it out...

Just out of curiousity, how do you calculate ERA vs L/R hitters?

Hey cummings...BTW, thanks for the feedback on my very first team, the fighting lemurians...

I guess I was just saying that I could, I guess, compile those stats if I needed too, but it would be nice to have them there already...which would be much easier for HAL than for a human who has consumed too much Dead Guy Pale Ale...

I have no idea how to calculate the era vs. one side or they other...I'm not even willing to think about it right now...that's HAL's territory...I just think it's a minor clitch that could be fairly easily repaired, and perhaps even an oversight on behalf of the programmers...

amen and goodnight...

You cannot calculate ERA vs LH or RH batters. That is impossible unless the entire lineup is LH or RH.
