How is total average calculated?

(Hits + Walks + Hit-By-Pitch) divided by (At Bats + Walks+ Hit-By-Pitch)

The formula is: Total Average = [(Total Bases + Hit By Pitch + Walks + Stolen Bases) - Caught Stealing]/[(At Bats - Hits) + Caught Stealing + Grounded Into Double Play]

Sorry I was writing the reply when you were writing yours. I think he means Total average like I wrote it but I'm not sure.
